Deputy Chair of the VIII Commission (Environment, Territory and Public Works)

An environmentalist who was elected to parliament with the Liberi e Uguali party, she is the deputy chair of the Italian parliamentary commission for the Environment, Territory and Public Works and a member of the commission of inquiry into illegal activities linked to the waste cycle and related environmental crimes, and the commission for childhood and adolescence.


She joined Legambiente in 1996, rising to become the general manager and then national chair from 2015 to 2017. Trained as a sociologist, she is an expert in environmental sustainability for tourism and the organisation of territorial services, and she has written numerous pieces for industry publications.

She has a special interest in rights, working especially hard to protect the rights of minors and women at all levels of society, politics and the workplace. She is a member of the presidential bureau of Green Italia and the Inequality and Diversity Forum, as well as being a guarantor for a collective humanitarian mission called Mediterranea and one of the promoters of Le Contemporanee, a social and digital startup for gender equality.
